Congratulations to IPaT faculty Kim Cobb and Russell Clark! Congressman Carter recognized Georgia Tech’s Sea Level Sensors project, which is led by Cobb and Clark. A Brunswick News article highlights their work with Chatham County to measure rising sea levels. through Georgia Tech’s Sea Level Sensors project, we know that flooding frequency and intensity has risen in the Savannah-Chatham County Area. Their network of 50 sensors not only provide real-time information of sea level changes but the data will also allow for modeling and forecasting of flooding in areas where people live.
