Since receiving the FDA Emergency Use Authorization for its COVID-19 test on April 1, Ipsum Diagnostics, a CAP Accredited laboratory, has performed over 1 million rt-PCR tests. The Ipsum team understands the need for accurate COVID-19 test results with quick turnaround time. Ipsum is committed to continuing to provide critical COVID-19 testing services needed to keep our families, classrooms, businesses and our communities safe.

Ipsum Diagnostics' interview with WSB-TV was recently featured on MSN. While the interview is a few months old, the news is still very relevant especially now as we gear up towards the holidays. Our team is proud to be working on the front lines and serving our community! https://www.msn.com//nurse-and-lab-tech-shorta/vi-BB1bevKi

We are so thankful for our patients and we want them to love the care they receive. We are happy to share this message from one of our patients. #medicallab #COVID19 #testing
What does it mean when labs have backlogs? Backlogs occur for a variety of reasons, supply chain problems, demand during surges, transport service delays and equipment issues. Ipsum Diagnostics takes seriously our responsibility to report laboratory patient results promptly and on-time. We have reported results of approximately 697,364+ #COVID19 molecular diagnostic tests to our patients and providers with an average turnaround time of 24 hours. At Ipsum, we are proud to have a system that avoids backlogs, allowing us to process specimens as soon as we receive them. #medicallab #atlantalocalbusiness
In preparation for Thanksgiving, the CDC has shared a few tips and guidelines to make this holiday safer for both you and your family. See the link below for more information to safely celebrate the holiday. https://www.cdc.gov//daily-life/holidays/thanksgiving.html
Why use a PCR, or Polymerase Chain Reaction, test instead of other forms of testing? Our PCR technique extracts genetic material (DNA or RNA) from the organism causing the infection. This allows us to identify the infection causing organism quickly and accurately for proper diagnosis and targeted treatment. Using the correct treatment the first time, allows for early intervention and can reduce unnecessary testing and treatments that may not be as effective. #medicallab #atlantalocalbusiness
We love helping and hearing from our patients. We take our job of reporting our patients' results as quickly and accurately as possible, very seriously. We are here to help our communities return to a sense of normalcy, amidst this pandemic. #medicallab #localbusiness #COVID19
Ipsum Diagnostics is a full-service lab that offers more than #COVID testing. We love hearing from our patients. We take our responsibility of reporting #COVID19 results seriously. Your tests and test results are not simply a number: we know the results of these tests can reunite families, allow individuals to return to work and to receive necessary medical treatments. We are happy to share a recent message from one of our patients about their experience with our COVID-19 testing.

We have developed workflow solutions that expedite our #COVID #testing process: COVID-19 specimens received at our molecular diagnostic lab are traceable. Using our proprietary specimen labeling system, we are able to track specimens from the patient collection sites and know when it arrives at our lab. Our team knows exactly where a specific individual’s specimen is located. This allows us to share the status of your specimen quickly and accurately. #tech
