I named this one "Electric Galaxy". The view was so amazing that you could see with the naked eye, tons of detail, the essence and the beauty of the Milky Way Shot from an "undisclosed" location (mainly for the owners privacy) off the coast somewhere between SC and GA is a beautiful though slightly light polluted view of the South Eastern sky.... Last night (and into this morning) Nate Rosso and I drove up and down the coast for over 5 hours to find the perfect spot to setup our cameras. Knowing that there were going to be some evening storms, our idea was to find a spot that we could shoot some of the storms off shore and possibly grab the Milky Way and some lightning. The heatwave is finally over! And this was our reward :) After over 200 shots in this one position ... i was able to put this one together for your viewing pleasure! The lightning on the horizon consists of 5 shots (shot at different intervals) and the MIlky Way is a 30 second exposure at 6400 ISO on a Canon 6D w/Rokinon 14mm

I call this one "Mother Knows Best" Last night was a very special night. SpaceX was launching 60 of their StarLink satellites into space at one time, so naturally i wanted to go photograph it. After the launch and on the way back in, we came across some unusual tracks leading in from the ocean.... It was a mother turtle making her way in from the Atlantic Ocean to lay her eggs! A rare sight and a beautiful one at that! ***** This photo was taken a far distance from the turtle (she was probably 30 yards behind us facing away from us and she was not disturbed****** Nesting Behavior Info Only the females nest, and it occurs most often at night. The female crawls out of the ocean, pausing frequently as if carefully scoping out her spot. Sometimes she will crawl out of the ocean, but for unknown reasons decide not to nest. This is a false crawl, and it can happen naturally or be caused by artificial lighting or the presence of people on the beach. Most females nest at least twice during the nesting season, although individuals of some species may nest only once and others more than ten times. Sea turtles are generally slow and awkward on land, and nesting is exhausting work.

The beauty of a sunrise or sunset is only surpassed by the amazing sight of the Milky Way Core. The only way to one up that ....? The Milky Way Core AND the Sunrise in one shot. New editing techniques and technology have allowed me to breathe life back into this photo for your viewing pleasure.... My original edit did not have the clarity and noiselessness as this one. This is a single exposure - Canon 6D w/Rokinon 14mm - 30 Sec at ISO 2500

This shot was taken in January 11th of 2016, but I haven't edited it till now! The grand Canyon is an amazingly beautiful site to see during the day ... But at night it comes alive with mysterious sounds, colors and feelings. It is pitch black here at night - like cant see your hand dark! ... It was my first time visiting the Grand Canyon and i had no clue what i was looking at until the exposure came back from my camera. The feeling i got when i saw this scene for the first time on my cameras screen was chilling! This was on a Canon 6D w/Rokinon 14mm @75sec ISO 6400
