Check out their Facebook page, they have the best local Honey ever..........thanks for coming by, it was so nice to see you both. Come check out their honey in October at the festival on Davis Street.

I would like to pose a challenge to all the people that like my page or pages liked by us at the Ivy Cottage to see how far we can take this one kind gesture. Now that kids are headed back to school, there are those kids that are excited to see friends they haven't seen all summer, they can't wait to show off new clothes, cars, haircuts, boy/girlfriends, vacation pictures and share numerous other great and amazing things that have happened over the summer. But all to often... there is the ones that don't for whatever reason have those feelings of excitement, some are worried about the person that bullied them, made fun of them and all but made their lives miserable before the summer began, there is also those that had catastrophic events happen over the summer, the loss of a family pet, the loss of financial independence for their family, and possibly the most horrific, the loss of a family member either direct or indirect. My challenge to each and everyone of you, is if you see someone struggling, show them in anyway you can at the moment, introduce yourself, share your lunch, share your time, drop cookies off at their office or front door, you don't even have to leave your name, or just share a smile and a wave. You never know what that small act of kindness can start or stop. Remember to have friends you have to be a friend. I am blessed everyday to have a wonderful family and great friends, everyday I thank God for them, because without them I don't know what I would do. Hopefully I'm as good of a friend to them as they are to me. Let's try and lift someone up today.
