I am a mother of 3 and ready to KICK CANCERS BUTT! Hoping my story will inspire you in some way along this journey. I will post updates here as much as possible. I'm guessing there are going to be many stories like mine in the future. Due to Covid, there were many delays getting me to my first doctors appointment, my mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy etc. Unfortunately during this slow process, I had an aggressive cancer growing. Now measuring between 4.5 -5 cm. I have Tripl...e Negative Breast Cancer that has to be fought with chemo, then surgery and radiation. I will begin chemo on Friday, October 2nd at 9am. Treatments are every other week for 8 weeks and then every week for 12 weeks. Being that I have 3 kids and run a small business, we will need your prayers. Please pray for our journey as a family. Pray for the community around me to find moments where they see God. Pray for your own family as I will pray for yours! I had no idea I would be faced with this journey. Happy Birthday to ME! Love celebrating this day with these sweet ones, while missing all the other important people in my life. Bringing more smiles your way! Prayers for our families, out community, our state, our country, our earth! (I guess we have been watching a lot of Supergirl lately, LOL) Sweet Newborn Smiles make my heart melt in our Atlanta Portrait Studio. I'm grateful that we are still able to gift these sweet parents... memories of their babies. These moments can only be captured in the first few weeks. If you are stressed about bringing your newborn out during the Coronavirus, I understand. The next best time to photograph your baby is at 4 months. Four months old is a great time for incredible neck strength and big, beautiful smiles. To view examples of 4 month old Portrait Session, visit our Children's Gallery. Four Month Old sessions are best scheduled early in the morning. We want to make sure your little one has had a good nights rest. We also want to capture them between nap times. So excited to show you this Incredible Garden Location for Maternity Portraits in Atlanta GA. We are so blessed to photograph our clients here. Its a beautiful garden owned by some dear friends of ours. We visited them for a Bible study 10 years ago. Not only were we blessed with a beautiful location to take pictures, but also friends for a lifetime. Many of our clients choose to have their portraits taken in the studio. However, my favorite portrait sessions take place ...in the studio and in the portrait garden. I believe it adds a good mix of an intimate studio session, as well as a fun and romantic portrait session in the garden. Generally my Maternity Portrait Sessions are photographed between 29-32 weeks. This is a great time to feature that perfect belly without mom feeling too tired from that 3rd trimester. I suggest scheduling this type of session as early as possible as we can only schedule a few per week. These sessions take place closer to sunset for that beautiful glowing light. What an interesting week this has been at James Hill Photography. While we are learning the world of Online Learning with our children, we are still continuing to provide beautiful memories for our families in the studio. 6 Newborns in the studio this week (2 today). For our New moms....it is only natural to feel worried about the corona virus. As a newborn and pregnancy photographer, the safety of my clients comes first, and I understand these concerns you have prior to ...your session. Studio cleanliness is a top priority and I take steps to avoid viral contamination, at all times. I would like to reassure you that I am taking all precautions advised and extra measures on top to safeguard my clients and to keep the studio sanitary. Some of the extra precautions include. - Deep cleaning of the studio after every session and prior to clients arriving. - Wearing a protective face mask during the session (No, it is not an N95 mask. However, this mask may not protect from Corona, but it can reduce the likelihood of germs. It also keeps me from touching my face) - Using disposable pads for changing the baby - Asking clients to reschedule if they feel unwell, even if it is mild - Asking clients to leave immediately if they present a cough, fever or any other symptoms and carrying out a deep clean of the studio environment. - Wearing scrubs during my sessions and minimizing my prop use (I also do this because I get peed on.. A LOT) - Not reusing props until they have been deep cleaned and isolated - If I feel unwell, even mildly, I will contact my clients to cancel - My kids have been home and isolated since mid last week. During sessions, they are not allowed to enter the studio. Little ones are only Newborns for a short period of time. I hope to capture those memories for you too.

Today my little boy is 16. It seems like everything is making me cry today. This Hallmark commercial really got me. Many of the moms I meet are just trying to get an extra hour sleep, or even dealing with the temper tantrums of a toddler. I know its hard to believe that 16 years is going to fly by, but it is. We had such a busy Holiday Season, that I never got around to posting this portrait of us with @thereaslblacksanta. He was such a joy in our studio and look forward to having him back next year. Our tree is still up in the studio for a few last Family Portrait sessions. Maybe my own family will get a portrait before the tree gets packed up. Madison and Blu got a chance to test out the Holiday set the day Santa was in the studio. It was such a crazy day, I didn't get to curl her hair. She's so naturally adorable though, so its ok.
