Marietta Adoption #98 Gypsy! Our free spirited Gypsy, has found her fureverhome! Although she's not a lap cat, this beauty loves people and receiving lots of affection. When Gypsy first arrived at our Meowietta lounge, she was a little shy at first. She soon learned that she had the freedom to socialize with our guests when she was comfortable but she could also find herself a quiet space to take a nap when she needed to take a break. Her new parents lost their beloved Main...e Coon last year to congestive heart failure, and they’ve been thinking about adopting ever since. This family LOVES cats and knew that they would find their new furry family member when the time was right. So, they visited our Marietta Java Cats lounge to meet the kitties and were finishing up the last five minutes of their session when Gypsy suddenly came down from her safe space to greet them. They felt an instant connection and couldn’t stop thinking about her! Gypsy chose her purrents and we trust Gypsy’s judgment. We are so happy to see this beautiful girl find her very own happy home! Missy Kibbles was adopted from Java Cats Grant Park so this hits so close to home as we all love her so much! She was accidentally let out by an apartment maintence person while Kim was not home. Kibbles ran into a neighbors yard and hasn’t been seen since. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST!! I’m so hopeful she will be found and reunited with her very worried mom and kitty boyfriend Binx who also misses her greatly. Thank you Java Cats fam...hopefully we will have an update soon as we spread the word.

Marietta Adoption #87 Gator, now known as Bash! Gator’s mom was found pregnant on the side of a back country road when a nice family took her in so she could have her babies in a safe, quiet space. After a few weeks one of our Marietta employees took the family in to foster and get vetted, known as the #ZooCrew. The only boy in the bunch, his new purrents fell in love right away! He now has a big sister named Marlow who he loves to keep company. Happy tails Bash!

Congratulations to the #ZooCrew for taking the necessary steps to get sterilized and do their part to help end pet over population! Thank you to Catsnip of Georgia for offering low cost S/N, and vaccination services. The crew is spending a few days separated to heal, which they aren’t thrilled with, but a few days in a cage is better than a viscous cycle of reproducing more homeless animals. And a big shout out to everyone who donated to help Mercedes in her time of need.... Because of her (and you!) we were able to save 8 cat/kittens that were in need in her honor! Between food, litter, vaccines, flea prevention, spay/neuter, and microchip it cost over $1000 for all 8 of them. THANK YOU! My foster Phoebe has found the best forever home I could have hoped for! A few weeks ago, Cailen was able to meet Phoebe for the first time after approving her for adoption months ago. As soon as she walked through my door Phoebe was inside of her jacket! They day finally has come to say goodbye for now, but fortunately her mom and I have become friends so it won’t be the last of Miss Phoebe that I’ll see. Marietta Adoption #86 Finn! At just one day old Finn, his 3 siblings, and their mom came to the Humane Society of Cobb County after being pulled from the county shelter. Their mom was quite shy and nervous, but instinctively knew what was needed of her. With time, dedicated love and attention, the whole bunch developed to be as sweet as can be! When the kittens were old enough they came to Java Cats, and the lounge became their playground! Finn’s purrsonality blossomed during... this time. He was the first to greet customers, and his precious mew instantly melted your heart! After a day full of playing he’d melt in your arms for a cat nap. His new family was ready to find a sibling for their young cat and two dogs, and Finn, now known as Podrick, was the missing piece to the puzzle. Happy tails Podrick! Marietta #84 & #85 Frankie and Lulu! These kitties are very special; their birth mom figured out what was thought to be an ideal place to keep them safe. They were found within the mechanics of a car in need of repair at a "body shop" and would not have been found if a caring employee had not followed the cries of the 1 1/2 week old babes. They were then cared for at the HSCC and originally named as Frank (Sinatra) and Louis (Armstrong) until they were recognized as girls (he...nce the change to Frankie and Lulu)! Although in good shape Frankie was found to have been infected with ringworm. Ughh! This is extremely contagious and FYI not an actual worm/parasite but a bacterial skin infection that resembles a "ring" in humans. After getting them both through this, vetted, and spayed it was time for the girls to experience life at our Meowietta lounge. Needless to say, many visitors enjoyed their antics and it wasn't long before they found their purrfect match. These precious panthers thrive on human affection which made it easy to fall in love with them! When it came time to expand the family, their new mom started asking her vet about adopting, who then recommended Java Cats Marietta. After visiting with her daughter, they both became smitten with Frankie and Lulu and couldn’t wait to bring them home furever! See more
