Great news! Eager to see what they do with their public platform.
Congratulations, John Eaves! We are so lucky to have you on the board at JCRC Atlanta.
Throughout the Georgia Legislative Session, JCRC will be sharing opportunities for the different groups that range from overviews to specific issues. Below is a great interfaith conversation with Faith in Public Life.
We are proud members of GIPPC and appreciate their work in bringing faith voices to the public sphere. Thank you, Dr. Heiman!
I'm enjoying the diverse and impressive agenda for the DC Virtual Mission today with JFNA. Check out the agenda of webinars and panels throughout the day at https://jewishfederations.org/dcmission.
The new year of the trees reminds us of the beauty of nature and all that we can learn from it. It also reminds us that we need to continue to work to protect the natural world. One interpretation I found reminds us that Tu B'Shvat occurs at the end of winter when the trees have lost their leaves and yet spring is just around the corner. Our country has been battered and our people left in coldness, darkness, isolation and strife with the year that has passed. And yet, spring is around the corner and, we, too, can look for renewal and growth in our civic and personal lives. Happy Tu B'Shvat!
The JCRC of Atlanta calls on our civic and faith leaders to set a standard of civil discourse, oppose violence and encourage peaceful engagement in the political process this election. https://conta.cc/34kHRFA
With social media, rumors run rampant. Please check reliable sources when you hear about rumors of extremist violence. Now, more than ever, we need to unite around the fundamental values of our democracy and the peaceful respect of election outcomes even when we don't agree with them.

All ballots must be in by 7 p.m. on Nov. 3rd in Georgia. How to make sure your vote is counted: 1) Check the status of your ballot and/or polling location at the Georgia My Voter Page - https://conta.cc/2TOa5CE 2) Vote in person on Nov. 3rd. If you are in line at 7 p.m., the poll is required to stay oopen until everyone has voted. 3) Absentee ballots: - If you have an absentee ballot that has been filled out, you can drop it off at a local dropbox. Make sure you sign in! Y...ou can find your local dropboxes through your local election board on the Secretary of State's page: https://conta.cc/3kTdHPv or check out https://conta.cc/2TLutUL - If you have requested a ballot and not received it, YOU CAN STILL VOTE. Make sure you let the poll workers know ASAP that you had requested an absentee ballot - you will need to go through another process first to cancel it. Today is the second anniversary of the mass shooting of the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Today, we hold the memories of the victims to Anti-Semitism close to our hearts as we recommit to fighting hatred in all its forms. May their memory be a blessing. Joyce Feinberg, Richard Gottfried, Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil Rosenthal, david rosenthal, Bernice simon, Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax, and Irving Younger. #NeverAgain #TreeofLife
