While it may be disappointing to hear that so many sports events, cruises, festivals and other gatherings are being cancelled, there is a public health reason f...or these measures. These cancellations help stop or slow down the spread of disease allowing the health care system to more readily care for patients over time. See more

To the Atlanta Bone and Joint Specialists patients, family and employees, The health and safety of our patients, employees, and families are of the utmost impor...tance to us. Atlanta Bone and Joint and our physicians are actively monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and paying close attention to recommendations from local/federal officials. Atlanta Bone and Joint Specialists will continue to operate and remain open for patients with our normal schedules. We are implementing additional precautionary measures to provide the safest possible environment for our patients. Surgeries are still safe to perform as Emory Healthcare, Piedmont Hospital System and Eastside Medical Center are operating under normal conditions. We are in daily contact with the administrations of all the hospitals and will alert anyone with updates as we receive them. We will continue to monitor the developments around the spread of Coronavirus. As with all public health situations, we primarily rely on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and the U.S. Office of the Surgeon General for the best information and preventive strategies. Our current recommendations are as follows: All patients must sanitize their hands prior to sign in at the hand sanitation stands at the entry to the office. Any patient with a cough may be asked to return home if it is a non-urgent office visit. Anyone with a cough will be asked to wear a mask for the entirety of their visit. Surgeries are still safe to perform as Emory Healthcare, Piedmont Hospital System and Eastside Medical Center are operating under normal conditions. We are in contact with the administrations of all the hospitals and will alert anyone with updates as we recieve them. Anyone with fevers, chills or night sweats is to remain at home and postpone any appointments they may have until 14 days after their symptoms resolve. Do NOT read online information about the Coronavirus unless it is from the CDC. All other information that is being spread may or may not be correct. The CDC is the most accurate, research driven and nonpartisan. In the event that circumstances change, we will provide updates and alternative options in advance. Once again, all of our locations are open to ensure you receive the highest level of care for your rehabilitation and recovery needs. If you have any questions, please contact us at our Decatur, Snellville or Loganville addresses. We will have live updates on our website: 404 - Page Not Found https://ecs.page.link/CpLNZ starting 3.14.20 and will update these with links to proper preventative care. Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Atlanta Bone and Joint Specialists

Being the ringside physician for a championship fight certainly has its perks, including meeting Floyd Mayweather.
