Water a little rusty-hued? Not quite the sparkly clear it always is? No worries, as everything is just fine. The Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Fire-Rescue Dep...artment will be flowing hydrants throughout the City of Hazlehurst and Jeff Davis County from next Monday, April 5, 2021, until May 21, 2021, about a six-week time period. Sometimes the water is discolored after flow-checks, so take a look at it before drinking, cooking and washing clothes, especially those whites. If there’s any color usually from iron and other minerals getting all stirred up simply run your water for a few minutes until it’s clear. If you have any questions, call the Fire-Rescue Department at 375-6699. See more
