MISSING DOG ALERT 4:00pm update: Dog has been successfully returned to its owner.

Today, we honored the life of former Deputy Nicholas Howell. He worked for the Jenkins County Sheriff's Office from 2007 to 2019. Pictured below is Sheriff Robert Oglesby with a shadow box containing a Sheriff's Office patch, our challenge coin, Deputy Howell's badge he wore during his time at the JCSO, and two of his favorite cigars. It was presented to his family at the funeral. We want to offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends.
