We had a standing room only crowd earlier this week at our free information session designed to help people understand their 2019 Fulton County property tax ass...essment statement and the options available to them if they wish to appeal their assessment. Close to 100 attendees appreciated the useful information shared by lawyers from the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Thanks to the Fulton County Library System - Metropolitan Branch for hosting our session. If you’ve decided to appeal your assessment and need help, we have a few seats left in our second hands-on workshop scheduled for Sat., July 27 from 9:30-11:30 am at the Rick Mcdevitt Youth Center in Peoplestown (the workshop scheduled for this Saturday, July 20 at Paradise Baptist Church in Grove Park is at capacity). We will have Internet-connected computers and trained volunteers on-hand at these workshops who can help you do research about the value of comparable properties near you and help you file your online appeal. If you are coming to one of these workshops, please bring your property tax assessment statement and any comparable property research you’ve done already.
