Instructor Stuart got his black belt in April of 2019, and says that he loves that Jiu Jitsu is "never ending" and he is still always learning. Just keep coming to class!

About our affiliate, Pedro Sauer DID YOU KNOW: Pedro started martial arts at the age of five with boxing, and later judo and taekwondo. At fifteen, Rickson Gracie introduced him to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by inviting him to train with his younger brother Royler Gracie. After training with Royler, Pedro became convinced that Jiu-Jitsu was the most effective martial art. He trained under Helio and Rickson Gracie, earning the rank of black belt in 1985. He now has affiliate gyms a...cross the United States (including ours!) as well as internationally, and works extensively with law enforcement as well as the military, including the Marines and Navy SEALs. We are happy to be a part of the @Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association!

Gracie Jiu Jitsu is a self defense system refined by 135 lb Helio Gracie (19132009) so that the defense and escape techniques would work against a larger opponent, it's no wonder Gracie Jiu Jitsu is the go to self defense system for women. Here is pictured in a self defense exhibition.
