Dear Friends of EPIC Restaurant, With the spike in COVID-19 cases in and around the state of Georgia, we have made the decision to "REQUEST" that our patrons w...ear masks upon entering and exiting EPIC Restaurant. Once seated, it can be removed. (two minutes isn't too much to ask). We are very much aware that the nature of dining out is to be social and everyone is excited to experience some part of normal. Unfortunately, the new normal is uncomfortable for all of us, but it is how we adapt and approach it that will make it tolerable. I know that this will cause some backlash with many people and I understand that we all have different opinions on this topic. We shut down for four months and reopened just last week. It has not been easy. Our livelihood was put on hold, our stress level was through the roof. We choose to do the best that we can and move forward, and for the first time in a long time, make decisions that benefit us as a husband/wife team, a family and a business. As mandated by the Governor, our front of the house staff is masked and doing our part on keeping each other and our guests safe. Is it easy greeting guests in a mask? NO. Is it easy speaking to someone with a mask? NO. Do we have trouble breathing with the mask? YES. Do my glasses fog up continuously as I greet guests at the hostess stand? Yes. But, it is the right thing to do and it is the law in regards to reopening our restaurant. We are trying to be as safe as we possibly can and respectful of our guests' boundaries. This isn't a political post. We are a small business trying to do everything we can in order to maintain and sustain. Thank you in advance for respecting our decision. If you choose to forgo dining at EPIC due to our request, we will respect your decision, but know that we will miss you. Stay safe.
