Some MARRIAGE wisdom after 23 years of waking up to the most amazing wife ever: 1. Keep HEALTHY BOUNDARIES. This is a necessary component in any long term relationship. Self care is the best care! Protect your time to be your personal best, then you’ll be better for your spouse. If you find yourself depleted all the time, reevaluate to see if you have any unhealthy boundaries around work, friends, obligations etc. Anything that impacts the marriage negatively is unhealt...hy! 2. DISAGREEMENTS are HEALTHY (When done fairly). Disagreements are part of any growing and evolving marriage. Both sides must be able to share their complete view without interruptions. (I’m still growing here) If you still can’t arrive at some level of agreement, both sides need to compromise. Look for the win-win! But, there are times when you have to agree that you disagree and still be okay with each other. 3. The QUALITY (not quantity) of your SEX LIFE is what matters. Healthy intimacy is the key... things like cuddling, flirting, playing, supporting each other, challenging each other, exploring new things, recreational companionship. These are the things that make the love making special! #Year23 #Anniversary #CantStopWontStop
