Meeting Tuesday night at 7pm Family Legacy Center at the Pembroke Christian Church. We are open to all veterans: Active, Guard, Reserve, Retired, or served one Enlistment. No combat tours needed to join. Stop by and see what we are about. As always, if you were a member before, you are more than welcome to attend.
Today, a small group of us gathered to retire US flag that were tattered and torn. A big thanks to Pembroke Fire Chief Pete Waters for allowing us to use the training area for the ceremony.

Today I had the honor to give recognition to Brooklyn Hingston. Her project for the Girl Scouts, she took on the task of making a Flag Retirement Collection Container out of an out newspaper stand. It was dedicated today and presented to the city of Pembroke, GA. In recognition of for her efforts, I presented her with an American Legion Commander's coin.
Today a group of volunteers in Pembroke took the veterans flags down. Next display will be for Memorial Day, the Flag Committee extends it's thanks to: PACTEL, Pembroke Fire Department, Pembroke City Department, and the American Legion. An American Legion Command Coin was presented to Eli, 8, and Madison, 7, for their hard work with the flags. Ernie Mitchell presented for Commander Miller.
