Super Friends, We are pleased to announce that JSP Children’s Foundation will be partnering with Children’s Health Care of Atlanta for a very special Thanksgiving Blessing. As you may be aware, Children’s Healthcare’s Egleston Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma facility. The children who have the most critical needs in Georgia are usually taken to Egleston for treatment. During the holiday season, many children who are at Egleston are in intensive care and other units, and their... families are unable to go home. It is at a time like this that providing a hot meal to these deserving families can mean so very much. JSP Foundation is honored to help provide a taste of home, a warm smile and a gracious touch on Thanksgiving Day. We will not only be serving the patients and families who are in critical care but also the brave ones who are fighting cancer, those who have received heart transplants, and the tiny ones on life support. Additionally, we will furnish a meal for the fantastic Egleston staff who are working on Thanksgiving Day, including the helicopter crews, all ambulance personnel, any public servants, from the custodial staff to the head surgeon all will be welcome to join us. JSP is honored to be the hands and feet in helping serve such a beautiful gift to so many. JSP is also pleased to team up with Sandra Cook of Catered Southern Events, in preparing this amazing meal. We are anticipating serving over 1000 exceptional people at Egleston Children’s Hospital on this special day. JSP Children’s Foundation has committed to match any donations dollar for dollar to fulfill the $3000 needed to complete this worthy endeavor. There are several ways you can join us to be a superhero in this adventure. You can help financially by donating to JSP foundation. We are also looking for a few more volunteers to help prepare and serve on Thanksgiving Day. Most importantly you can pray for these patients, their families and the real heroes who work diligently behind the scenes at Egleston. Please click the donate tab on our page to give. Brent Polk, Thank you for the kind words below. You got to experience first hand what JSP does. We want to help the weary and broken hearted. It's our vision, but we can't do this alone. This week we witnessed what happens when we come together and give our resources, time and talents. Some gave money, some gave their time, and some offered their skills. When that comes together a miracle is born. This is a picture of the church in action. Jesus is so proud of you all :) Bre...nt, This quote came to mind as I read your words. "Jesus values people so much that when we add value to people, he takes it personally." John Maxwell "Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was meyou did it to me." Matthew 25:40 " JSP Children Foundation I just wanted to thank everyone again that was a part of the JSP Christmas Miracle. I also want to let you know that there is a reason that everything ran so smoothly. It’s called the JSP Children Foundation! Unfortunately, they deal with situations like what our fellow classmate has been through every day!! Smith Peck and Julie Peck believe in what they do. If you have never heard their story, it is pretty amazing how they live their lives every day. It is awesome to see how they touch so many people as they mentor them in their time of need. They are a lot like the annoying chewing gum on the bottom of your shoe they just stick to you and you cannot shake them off. I know this project hit close to home because it was one of our own, but there are so many others that need the support of a foundation like JSP. Please continue to support the JSP Children Foundation! You have witnessed the miracles this Foundation can help deliver. JSP has several fund raisers throughout the year and all the funds go to families like this one. JSP is always needing funds donated and volunteers to help as there is always plenty to do. Remember all you have to do is go to the JSP Children Foundation website to make a donation. This JSP event was amazing to see unfold!! "Anything is possible, for the one who believes in the One who makes all things possible." I couldn't help but think of my flying pig this morning. God has been challenging me all year to believe in Him for the things I think are impossible. It's not our need that moves God, it's our faith. He wants us to believe Him for more than what is seen. When we call on Him for the impossible, He gets to show us the power of prayer and faith. He gets to show us how much He really care...s about every little detail and need in our life. I believe this past week was a miracle from above. I have been praying for this all year. I just didn't know how He would reveal it to me. I'm blown away!! The biggest revelation to me this week was this.. We will not walk through this life without suffering and grief. I wish with all my heart that we could be spared the tremendous heart breaks that happen here on earth. Yet we are given a great promise to hold onto while we experience suffering.. That promise is Jesus. He will walk with us through the suffering. The "through" is an important journey. It's a place where He slowly lifts the pain of grief. He invades the grief with moments like this past week. He shows up in real time and in tangible ways through our hearts to be His hands and feet here on earth. We have the invitation from Him to join with Him in making the impossible- possible. Nothing is impossible with Him! I believe:) Thank you all for sharing your hearts this week. Wow, yesterday's JSP "Christmas Miracle" project was a huge success! A big thanks to all of you who helped make this happen. You are all "Super Hero's", and JSP is proud and blessed to have partnered with you to make this a reality! It's true Julie Peck, "Pigs can fly."
