Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the ACC Shelter-in-Place order, we will be closed starting 3/24 until further notice.

Effective immediately we will only be accepting TO-GO and delivery orders. 12pm-8pm.

With growing concerns about the spread of COVID-19, we are taking action to ensure our commitment to the health and safety of both our employees and patrons. We are tightening our already-stringent sanitizing and disinfecting protocols and will operate on reduced hours until further notice. We ask that our patrons take precautions to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the restaurant and will continue to monitor and adjust as the situation unfolds. Starting March 17, our reduced Hours of Operation will be Tuesday - Sunday 12pm - 8pm. We appreciate your continued support during this uncertain time.

Recently, there have been accusations that we at JPAM have been dishonest to our patrons and staff and that we do not pay our staff appropriately. To be clear, we have, and always will, pay our employees appropriately. We take pride in our business and the community we serve, and it is because of this that we pay our non-probationary employees well above minimum wage and do not cut hours even when business is slow due to the Athens summer schedule or Game Days. This is not ...the standard practice for businesses of our size. To clear up any miscommunication - the model of our restaurant is collaborative. We believe that all employees, whether or not they interface with our patrons, should share the responsibility and rewards of a happy customer. We also believe that our employees’ financial security should not be jeopardized when customers choose not to tip. For these reasons, we collect and redistribute 100% of gratuities to all employees. Furthermore, we then contribute additional funds to give every employee a reliable hourly wage. In the interest of fairness to every employee who dedicates their time and energy to the success of JPAM, we do not allow employees who get to meet our patrons to accept personal tips as this takes away from the rest of the staff. We are a small, immigrant family-run business that has been part of the Athens community for over 10 years. As the first Vietnamese restaurant in Athens, we understand how difficult it can be to start from nothing. We have supported and hosted countless local businesses, organizations, and neighbors over the years and given those who needed a second chance opportunities when others would not. We have tried to give back whenever and wherever possible. We are saddened to hear that there are those that feel otherwise.
