Here's what it looks like in JWS' classes. Classes are maxed at 6 students and one teacher. All seating is at least 6' apart. We are not performing scenes unless both students are comfortable rehearsing and performing in close proximity to each other. We are mostly working solo pieces and solo exercises. All students arrive with masks on, we then vote twice whether to remain masked or not. If it isn't unanimous, we leave the masks on except for the one actor who may be perfor...ming. Also, the space is a 1000 sf box with a 15' ceiling and a concrete floor that is cleaned weekly. The HVAC system has a 3M Filtrette 1900 filter and the fan runs continuously throughout the session. Everyone is instructed that if at any time for any reason they aren't comfortable with the situation, we will re-mask and/or vote again or they may leave. Hand sanitizer and washing stations are provided. In addition, my students are free to come and go as they please. If they do not want to come to class they do not have to and they will not be counted absent. Each week they sign up for one of the five sessions offered and once the session is full no more are allowed. They can then choose a different session. We started this in mid June and so far the largest session had 6 students. I currently have about 40 students on my roster and only about 15 have chosen to attend class each week. This way of holding classes is nothing like it was before the pandemic. I am still teaching Strasberg but unfortunately not to it's fullest extent. My students understand this and have chosen to attend or not based on all of the above.

There are two types of people in this world. Those honor a contract and those that do not. Hopefully a ittle Taffy will help smooth things over.
