Having a healthy, positive outlet and a supportive community start to change how we treat ourselves. The opportunities can be as simple as being a good example in class, to actually leading class. We also offer an instructor program, which includes specialized classes on how to become the best leader you can be. 4) Hard Work Ethics You learn the meaning of a job well done. Becoming a Black Belt is not easy, and it requires discipline, perseverance, and your best efforts. The lessons you learn on how to grow from class to class, and belt to belt, you can’t help but be inspired on how to apply them to your other life goals. 5) Better Focus Martial arts requires a 100% of your focus to accomplish all techniques and exercises. It provides great workouts for the mind to get stronger at staying focused. If you’ve ever had an interest in Martial Arts, we encourage you to give it a try. What we teach our kids is important. They watch what we do, and it affects how they grow up. In Martial Arts, the instructors help to teach kids important life lessons and valuable skills that transfer to every part of the kids' lives.
The tranquil practice of meditation is an exercise that all students learn at Choe's HapKiDo. What's great is that they can apply meditation anywhere such as the Martial Arts school, home, school, or work. Setting aside time everyday to meditate improves focus, breathing, and energy. Knowing how to relax and reset the mind shows us how we're in control of our minds.

HIYAH! Time to kick 2021 into gear! Who's ready to make this year awesome!
It's a new year! As it's great to get back into our routines, it's important to find ways to keep challenging ourselves. For example, if we become great at our workout, we can pump up our efforts by increasing the intensity, reps, and variety so that the mind and body stay interested. When we challenge ourselves, we are expanding our comfort zones and increasing our confidence.
If your child has never taken gymnastics, that's okay! At Choe's HapKiDo, we teach all students how to roll from the very beginning. This part of training may be intimidating for some. But what's great, students can learn at their own pace. Regardless of level, our instructors take great care in making sure everyone is safely learning this technique correctly. It's important to learn how to roll correctly, as this becomes the foundation for more advanced maneuvers!
Happy New Year!! We are so THANKFUL to our Martial Arts Community, and that we can continue doing what we love doing in 2021! We're SO EXCITED to be a part of your year too! Let's take on the new year and make the best of it!
