What a woman! I hope all of you have the luxury of working with so many incredible individuals as I do. I have such admiration for this colleague and friend. Her surgical skills and medical mind are phenomenal! Since 1998 she has graced the plastic surgery field and her experience is a prized possession. When she is not in the operating room, she may be performing a variety of minor surgical procedures, tattooing nipples after breast reconstruction, injecting Botox or fillers, injecting spider veins and a variety of other roles. She leads a great example excellent work ethic while puting a great deal of emphasis on her brilliant, beautiful and amazing family! Her character and poise are rock solid...what a gift she is to all who meet her! Dawn Ferrer, PA-C, I’m so thankful for YOU!!

No need to make it complicated. Early morning winter run: pop out of bed, check weather report on way to pee , brush teeth, wash face and MOISTURIZE (@cerave is one option), clothes on, half a cup of coffee , then out the door (25 min). Morning skin care routine is done after my shower. If we’re gonna take the time and invest the money in skin care then it benefits us to protect it when possible. . #skincare #moisturize #winterrunning

#Repost @injectors.lounge with @make_repost just a friendly reminder: Knowing anatomy and the names and common variations of vessels is cool. But as someone who has mapped out thousands of live vessels with Doppler probes, mapped out pulses, and then dissected down only to be frustrated by their confusing variations, I can tell you **be humble**. UNDERSTANDING anatomy is better than knowing anatomy. (Also, I’ve turned off comments for this post because I have a busy day and am not in the mood to have to explain, yet again, that I’m **not saying anatomy isn’t important**. I mean, I’m a surgeon for fuck’s sake

When your brother turns 40, you excitedly celebrate this monumental moment! An 8 mile hike with a beautiful view, a cake with flashing lights, REI presents, a charcuterie board, party hats, noise makers, a birthday sash and a toast to my baby brother is enough!!He may be younger than me but I have no doubt he’d protect me in a way that no other could. What a man, what a man!! We had an incredible celebration of this awesome dude today! I’m so thankful that he is my brother!!! I’m so thankful that he and my SIL have moved closer. I’m so thankful for both of them. Welcome to the 40 and over club Ross. We will rock this together!! . . #over40 #birthday #hiking #cake

We are in the midst of a busy holiday season but for most of us it looks quite different than it has in years past: this can be seen as negative or positive depending on what is going on in your specific situations and on our outlook. When I was in college, I helped lead a group of teenagers on a two week trip up the East Coast where the purpose was to teach them to learn to live in the moment. The teens never knew what we were doing for the day until they came out of the...ir tents or the bus beds in the morning. Since the events of the following day were unknown, most of their mental energy was directed towards the adventure at hand, instead of being distracted by the plan for the following day or the day after that (that was left for the leaders ). Those lessons had just as much of an impact on myself, if not more than the participants and this pandemic has reminded me of its importance. It has forced many of us out of the comfort of insanely busy schedules, the normal of anything and forced us to be flexible ALL OF THE TIME . I’m in no way belittling planning or setting goals...that is important and human, but it would be easy for me to plan and problem solve away my entire life instead of finding time to enjoy what is actually in front of me. The pandemic has both allowed me and forced me to reevaluate a WHOLE lot: to take a breath and remember who I am, who I was placed on earth to be, who I am here to serve and to allow myself permission to be a recipient of some of those good vibes. I grew up being taught to not worry about tomorrow fir let tomorrow worry about itself. Only when I live by the principle that God is given control (which means I give up mine , which I struggle with ) then I begin to feel a sense of peace and lose fear (watch out world). It is not a relationship that will look like anyone else’s, that’s why it’s called personal, but what it is is REAL. What has God made abundantly clear to me this year?!?? Currently, my role is to be real, to help you feel F&$!ING AWESOME and to help link together uniquely exceptional individuals to be stronger together. Cheers to learning how to live in the moment. . . #makemeprettypodcast #katieallenpa #workhardplayhard See more

Do you have smokers lines that surround your mouth? Whether or not cigarettes are the cause of those lines, i’ve never met anyone that’s OK with them. In fact, I have to state that many of my hippie Friends are not OK with those lines as they can make us look dehydrated and unhealthy.. Oral lines are quite challenging to treat and often need multiple modalities to gain any ground. Genetics play the largest role in whether or not someone has lip lines or not but we can’t con...trol that, can we? We do, however, have some control with prevention: avoiding habits or environments that accelerate the appearance of aging. We also can look at early intervention with a variety of treatments to help stimulate collagen and decrease the deepening of these lines. Are you past the point of early intervention and needing some serious work to this area? Be ready to be patient. We can achieve reasonable results but there is no one thing that works alone. It will take a process... we need time and money. This episode is the Cliff Notes version on the prevention and treatment of lip lines.
