The IRS made an update to its Get My Payments website, confirming customers will receive their Economic Impact Payments (EIP) by mail to their addresses on file. After many received this message on the Get My Payment website in ERROR: Your payment is scheduled to be distributed back to the same temporary refund transfer account at the end of this week (April 24).

Update!!! Stimulus Payments From Metabank and Refund Advantage email sent this morning. Update Concerning Economic Impact Payments (EIP)... April 20, 2020 We were very concerned to learn over the weekend that the messaging on the Get My Payment website is now telling customers their payments are scheduled to be distributed back to the same temporary refund transfer accounts at the end of this week (April 24), with no option to take any action. This is NOT the direction that the IRS has given us. We believe the messaging was posted in error and we have communicated as such to the IRS. We, along with other banks in the industry, are trying to get clarification from the IRS, and requesting changes are made to this update as soon as possible. We will update our customers and partners as soon as we get clarification from the IRS.

From IRS.GOV Update your bank account or mailing address!!! If we don’t have your direct deposit information from your 2018 or 2019 return and we haven’t yet sent your payment use the Get My Payment application to let us know where to send your direct deposit. 2019 Filers: We will send your payment using the information you provided with your 2019 tax return. You will not be able to change it.... 2018 Filers: If you need to change your account information or mailing address, file your 2019 taxes electronically as soon as possible. That is the only way to let us know your new information. Note: We are not currently able to process individual paper tax returns due to the COVID-19 outbreak. See more

Today is the first day for, self-employed and gig workers to apply for unemployment under the "Pandemic Unemployment Assistance" NOTE. YOU MUST APPLY FOR REGULAR UNEMPLOYMENT FIRST!!!! PUA, is the program that will provide unemployment benefits to those not ordinarily eligible for them. This includes individuals who are self-employed, gig workers, 1099 independent contractors, employees of churches, employees of non-profits, or those with limited work history who will not qua...lify for state unemployment benefits. The GDOL has modified its current online unemployment application adding new questions to better identify those individuals who may be eligible for PUA. These individuals must be determined ineligible for state benefits before being evaluated for federal PUA benefits. Once an applicant is deemed ineligible, they will be asked additional questions and information about past wages and earnings to continue the process. See detailed instructions on PUA. Once the application is received, it will be held and automatically processed once programming of this program is completed See more
