We've had to change some things around for the Great American Cleanup. The date has been pushed back to May, and the event is now only one day - Saturday - from 8AM until 2PM. Please share so that everyone knows the new date and that the event is only one day.

Thank you to Jordan Skinner and Beth Steffon for their work on these beautiful recycling containers! When you are out enjoying Victor Lord Park (Barrow County Leisure Services) be sure to check them out and recycle. Jordan and Beth also made a container just like this for the Winder Lions Club. Thanks again, ladies!

The countdown in ON! The Barrow County Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday April 10th, 8:30-12:30 continuing each Saturday through November 20t...h. Rain, rain....GO AWAY! Our Roadside Trash Party has been cancelled for this Saturday due to 90% chance of rain in the morning hours. We will hopefully be able to reschedule soon. Please remember - trash grabbers, safety vests, and garbage bags are always available for citizens to use in their neighborhoods or in areas they would like to do pickups in. KBB even has bright, safety pink VOLUNTEER t-shirts for people who are willing to get out and pick up litter!

Good morning! The chipper truck is having some issues this morning and won’t be here in time for our event. You can still drop your trees, though! Please be sure to only drop your tree where there is already a pile started. The chipper tree will be sometime this weekend to chip them. If you would like seeds, please email Danielle at [email protected] to arrange a time to come and get some.

It is the beginning of the first full work week of 2021. Christmas decorations are down or are coming down. What did you do with that live tree you had? DON'T just throw it in the back yard! Bring it to be chipped! Bring One for the Chipper is THIS Saturday from 9AM-12PM at Victor Lord Park (near the Armory). Pull up, we will unload your tree, and you can get some free seeds to take home and plant. It's that easy! See you then...
