Dear Patient, We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our town has been through a lot over the past few months, and all of us are looking forward to our lives getting back to normal. While many things have changed, one thing remains the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Although Governor Kemp has said that certain essential businesses, including dental offices, can reopen for business, the Centers for Disease Control has disagreed. As a r...esult, we are going to continue providing only emergency care at this time. We are planning on fully reopening on Monday, June 1st. Until then, if you have an urgent dental situation, please call our emergency number and we will contact you as soon as possible: (478) 972-8223 As you have surely seen during your visits to our office, infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our strict processes have consistently made the care you receive at our office both safe and comfortable, but we are adding even more systems in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. People cough, breathe, talk, and sneeze, and we perform procedures that generate aerosol. All of these actions can potentially release pathogens, such as bacteria and viruses, into the air. We already use HEPA-level air filtration system in our office, but now we have also added an air sanitizing system by AiroCide. This system has been used by NASA, the food industry, and the government to eradicate viruses, bacteria, chemicals, and mold in the air. These systems help protect you by reducing the amount of pathogens, which decreases the potential for airborne disease transmission. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. (478) 986-1830. Thank you for trusting us and for being our patient. We can’t wait to see you again! Wash your hands and stay safe. Sincerely, Kenneth E. Kay, DMD and Team
