This years Kid in the Corner kindness award is being presented to a senior who has always been a true individual. This student has fought through difficulties and challenges that most know nothing about. This senior would admit to feeling different and unaccepted more than once in life. We all do, right? Being smart doesn’t keep you from being bullied. This senior has at least a 4.4 GPA. Being athletic doesn’t keep you from being made fun of. This student has excelled in many... sports. Being musically talented doesn’t mean that people will respect your passions. This senior plays at least 3 instruments very well. ...it’s what we do with that feeling that sets us apart. This student does all they can to show love to others, because she gets it! This student has always been a strong silent leader; in school, church, their family and even other places in the world through mission work! All of these characteristics are a part of the make up of a student that remains focused on loving others, encouraging others and promoting kindness no matter what. I don’t think you can have a conversation with this particular Senior without smiling. Finally, I know for a fact that Connor would be so proud of the strength and commitment to others this student has fought to maintain, while still being cool and their own kind of weird. He knew this student well and cared quite a bit for her. Congratulations Carolyn Jones , Haaden to a few, thank you for caring for others and committing to kindness. It pays! See more
