Kinsey Family Farm 13.05.2021

Happy SPRING! We wanted to let everyone know that we will be shifting the farm over to the spring hours beginning Monday March 8th! Our spring hours will be: Mon-Fri - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday - 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sunday - Closed... We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused to your spring shopping plans and honestly would have preferred to open a little earlier on the weekends. However, we are planting our fields on weekends right now to try to catch up from all of the rain this winter has brought us. But please rest assured we have a farm full of wonderful plants in store for your viewing pleasure . . . more details on that starting on Monday! Just know that if you are a Japanese Maple lover you are in for a treat! :) Have a great weekend and looking forward to sharing some time during spring with you all! :)

Merry Christmas to all our KFF Friends! We hope that your week leading up to, and your day today, has been full of all the delicious moments that surround this momentous holiday! That you have had wonderful opportunities to spend with friends and loved ones, that you received and gave gifts that bring you the enjoyment you deserve, and that you had time to reflect on the initial cause of the Christmas celebration . . . the birth of Jesus! Thank you for allowing us to be part... of your holiday season again this year. :) There is certainly no other time of the year that the farm is filled with as much joy and festivity as the Christmas season! Our staff and family soooo enjoy watching as the familiar, and new faces, come through to visit each year. There are families that we have taken pictures with for over 15 years now . . . watching their children grow . . . as well as our wrinkles . . . . There are new families that remind us of our Christmases past . . . the kind that you know are going to have a loud and rambunctious Christmas morning! And there are the families that we have witnessed go through so much strife in their lives, yet remain steadfast and strong to each other and their faith, that it is an inspiration to us all. What you all bring to the farm is so much more than what we ever provide for you. So thank you once again for sharing your lives and celebrations with us! And as you sit around your homes enjoying the final moments of Christmas this evening please don't forget that you have definitely influenced ours as well . . . and made it that much more meaningful. :) Merry Christmas! :) The "Kinsey Family"

Good morning all! Wanted to give an update on the status of Christmas tree availability on the farm. As many of you have figured out now there is a pretty severe shortage of Christmas trees again this year. We do still have a nice supply of 6 foot and 7 foot Fraser Fir and Noble Fir in our barns. And actually gorgeous trees . . . not the leftovers as some may be suspicious of. And we added another 25 live Blue Spruce around 4-5 feet tall plus the root ball to our selection earlier this morning! I don't think our supply will get us through the weekend however so if you are in need you might consider coming prior to then . . . or not . . . just information to ponder. :) Merry Christmas!

THEY ARE HERE!!! AND GORGEOUS!!! We received a load of absolutely stunning Noble Fir, Nordmann Fir, and a smattering of Douglas Fir just this morning! These trees range in size of 6-7 feet, 7-8 feet, and 8-9 feet . . . although mostly 7-8 feet. Cut from their fields early this week and truly the most beautiful Oregon grown trees I personally have ever seen. :)

Despite what the rumor mill is saying there actually IS at least one place with trees larger than 5 feet tall! In fact we have an entire load of trees that will be coming just in time for those of you waiting for the weekend to get your Christmas tree. The truck is full of Noble Fir (pictured below), Nordmann Fir, and Douglas Fir ranging in height from 6-7' up to 8-9' . . . so fret not! And as you can also witness from the picture we still have some amazing weather AND plenty of trees in our fields for cutting as well! ;)

WOW! Well clearly everyone is in the mood for Christmas to arrive in 2020! For those that came out and visited us over this past weekend we certainly hope you had a delightful time! We certainly enjoyed all of the smiles, comments, and laughter! We did want to update everyone on the status of the Christmas tree crop at this point . . . and this isn't meant to alarm anyone so please don't panic. The rumors are actually true this year. While there ISN'T necessarily a shortage o...f Christmas trees (we just unloaded 500 Fraser Fir this morning and have another load of Noble, Nordmann and Douglas Firs coming this Saturday) there IS a shortage of large trees . . . nationwide. We do have some larger trees remaining, however, they are largely the Murray Cypress and Carolina Sapphire that we grow in our fields. Most of the fir and spruce trees that we have available are now in the 7-8 foot range. And they with all honesty are quite lovely! Just not huge. That being said we are well supplied with nice healthy Christmas trees so please don't panic. We have one for you. Just please be prepared to possibly down size this year . . . or switch to another variety from what you are accustomed to. And know that we are working diligently to get you as close to what you want as we possibly can. :) For more information or updates on the status of trees please check our Christmas page on the website listed below. :) Merry Christmas!
