Oct. 29: Digital Learning Day for ALL Students As Tropical Storm Zeta will be moving into our area overnight and during the early morning hours, Gwinnett County Public Schools will hold a digital learning day for all students on Thursday, October 29. Both in-person and digital learners will participate in digital learning from home.

Just a reminderWednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22, are early release days for elementary and middle school students to allow for parent-teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed 2.5 hours earlier than normal.

Current 8th and 9th grade students with a passion for the arts are invited to attend an upcoming virtual information session about the School of the Arts @ Cent...ral Gwinnett High School (SOTA), opening in August of 2021 for rising 9th and 10th graders. Sessions will be held Sept. 24, Sept. 26, Oct. 17, and Oct. 24. The sessions are open to students from all GCPS middle and high schools and their families. As shared, this special called meeting will allow the Board members an opportunity to discuss plans for the opening of school. As this is a special called meeting, not the regular monthly meeting, there is no public comment period. __________________________________________________________________ The Gwinnett County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, in Suwanee). The focus of the meeting will be the district’s plans for the opening of the 2020-2021 school year. This meeting may be viewed live online through the GCPS website at: https://gcpsk12.org/virtualboardmeeting. The meeting link will not be live until 15 minutes before the start time.
