What have you seen? What do you recommend?
Hi everyone! I just wanted to stop and say thank you for supporting my course, Confidence 101: Training for Actors and Empaths. Every share, every like and ever...y comment doesn't go unnoticed. We kick off tomorrow (!!!) so if you have any actor friends or empaths in your life who could use some guidance, send them over to confidence101.me!
Looking for a vocal coach?? I’ve known Suzanna for years and she knows her stuff. Check it out!! (Kids and adults)
We sometimes think of these people as special, untouchable by the regular people’s rules, life is different for them. But this is quite the reminder. Coronavirus treats us all the same. Wishing my best for all who are impacted.stay safe and nurture your creativity! We will get through this.
#Actors, good info to know...
*Sadly, I am having to update this to include Acting Coaches and other industry professionals. If you are a teacher, this is even more reprehensible.* If you have screen shots of conversations with Atlanta based actors, where they are posting racist comments, please add them here. You must be able to show their name. This is not meant to incite upset, but we have a thriving community of diversity in the film industry, and those making casting decisions should know what they are getting. There’s no shortage of actors. Let’s get the few bad apples out. They don’t deserve to work with us.
What do you think? What would have your vote?
What was your favorite movie of the past year?
What are your picks? What was missed?
There’s a good side to boredom, for anyone who wants to be more creative or aware, in their life.

So many people commenting on the inspiring post from earlier! For those struggling right now- I hear you. I have felt how you feel. Please keep reaching out. Trust that - even if you don’t know it right now, I do- you WILL find your way. It always makes sense, but only in hindsight. I reached for Julia Cameron’s book The Artist’s Way, many times. It helped guide and inspire me. If you have other suggestions, please share them! We will all struggle, at one time or another. It is part of the process. It’s called growing pains. It sucks in the moment but is necessary in the long run. You are human. You must feel ALL emotions, to be fully alive. Many blessings & much support from all your artistic family-
At age 23, Tina Fey was working at a YMCA. At age 23, Oprah was fired from her first reporting job. At age 24, Stephen King was working as a janitor and living in a trailer. At age 26, Stallone was homeless. At age 27, Vincent Van Gogh failed as a missionary and decided to go to art school.... At age 28, J.K. Rowling was a suicidal single parent living on welfare. At age 28, Wayne Coyne (from The Flaming Lips) was a fry cook. At age 30, Harrison Ford was a carpenter. At age 30, Martha Stewart was a stockbroker. At age 37, Ang Lee was a stay-at-home-dad working odd jobs. Julia Child released her first cookbook at age 39, and got her own cooking show at age 51. Vera Wang failed to make the Olympic figure skating team, didn’t get the Editor-in-Chief position at Vogue, and designed her first dress at age 40. Stan Lee didn’t release his first big comic book until he was 40. Alan Rickman gave up his graphic design career to pursue acting at age 42. Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his first movie role until he was 46. Morgan Freeman landed his first MAJOR movie role at age 52. Kathryn Bigelow only reached international success when she made The Hurt Locker at age 57. Grandma Moses didn’t begin her painting career until age 76. Louise Bourgeois didn’t become a famous artist until she was 78. Whatever your dream is, it is not too late to achieve it. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow. Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it. Never tell yourself you missed your chance. Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough. You can do it. Whatever it is. See more
Hope this isn’t bad for Atlanta...
