Get a headcount now to make the right amount of food, save vegetable scraps to make broth, and consider using reusable plates and utensils The Commons might be closed this week, but you can still be savvy in reducing waste this Thanksgiving! Food for Thought Friday: Did you know 16% of Georgians are food insecure? (https://acfb.org/facts-stats) If you also lack access to affordable & nutritious food, KSU's CARE Pantry can be a great resource on both Marietta and Kennesaw campuses. Any KSU student can receive food assistance by showing their ID (http://care.kennesaw.edu/services/campus-pantry/index.php). So far, The Commons has donated 566 lbs of meals to the CARE Pantry, and you, too, can make a big difference! If you want to help your fellow Owls, consider donating non-perishable items, volunteering through VKSU, or joining Owls Against Hunger ([email protected]). Because all of us should have enough food for thinking.
