Hey Friends, help us get Lamin to the Junior National Track Cycling Championship! Two years ago Lamin Wright was introduced to track racing through the Youth Cycling League at the Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point, GA. Lamin currently races for the Mission Devo Junior Cycling team but his dream is to be on the USA National team. He is dedicated to cycling and has been training very hard to be the best track sprinter possible. In addition to being a gifted athlete, Lamin ...is an excellent student, and an outstanding role model for all of our junior team members. Two weeks ago, Lamin traveled to Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, PA, to participate in the Junior National Track Series. This series was created by USA Cycling to give junior track cyclists the opportunity to race in front of the USA Cycling Olympic Development Program coaching staff. Lamin took full advantage of this opportunity and caught the eye of the ODP sprint coach who feels Lamin is a talented sprinter. He suggested that Lamin get an upgraded bike and equipment and also wanted Lamin to race at the Junior National Track Cycling Championship at the VELO Sportscenter in Los Angeles in July. This is where we need your help. Lamin is from a family of seven children. Obviously a trip to Los Angeles to race at Nationals comes with many expenses and was completely unplanned. Both Lamin and his father, Abu, will be flying to L.A. and staying for five days of racing. Funding will pay for them to fly instead of drive so that Abu does not have to be away from work as long. They will also have housing expenses during the trip. We've found a bike for Lamin and would like to cover this expense, as well as other equipment expenses since most of what he has needs to be upgraded. This will not be the only trip Lamin has to make, so any money left over will be used to fund these expenses. Lamin has the opportunity to be selected to attend a USA Cycling Olympic Development camp in the Fall that could lead to him being selected for the USA Olympic Development team. If anyone stands for what an Olympian is all about, it's Lamin. - https://www.gofundme.com/f/let039s-get-lamin-to-track-natio See more

Whether operating AIDS Vaccine 200 (AV200) pit stops, marshaling Brownwood Bike Rally, or hosting Grant Park Criterium and Grant Park Cyclocross, L5Flyers Cycling Team has a long history of community involvement. Likewise, Hiscox Group makes serving local communities part of its company culture through Hiscox Gives and Hiscox Foundation. This year, L5Flyers and Hiscox team up to make a difference in not only local competitive cycling but also HIV/AIDS vaccine research. The t...wo organizations come together in 2019 as L5Flyers powered by (p/b) Hiscox Insurance to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS vaccine research at the Emory Vaccine Center. "I believe that the only way to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic is with a vaccine," said A. J. Long, L5Flyers p/b Hiscox Insurance AV200 Fundraising Captain. "So, I am very proud that with the support of our L5Flyers teammates and Hiscox Insurance we are working towards that ultimate goal." The AV200 is produced by Action Cycling Atlanta, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and 100 percent of all gifts go to HIV/AIDS vaccine research and disease prevention. In addition to managing pit stops during the double century weekend (May 1819), five teammates will each ride 200 miles in two days! The 5-person team is comprised of: Adrian "A. J."
