Lake Foods is currently looking to hire an experienced local CDL driver. This candidate must possess a valid Class A CDL license to transport fresh/frozen poultry to storage yards, cold storage facilities and customers. Responsibilities Deliver finished product to Lake Foods customers and storage facilities... Meet delivery schedules Drive a tractor trailer while abiding by all Federal DOT rules and regulations Responsible for the accurate count of product at the point of delivery Communicate with the dispatch office and maintain a professional courtesy with the customer Qualifications Active Class A CDL Minimum of 2 yrs verifiable tractor trailer experience Clean driving record, meeting DOT requirements Stable and verifiable work history for the last 10 yrs Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and background check Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license

Primarily responsible for working on a production line rotating and learning positions on the line. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. REQUIRED SKILLS:... Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed. Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements. Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate. Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character. A desire to be at work every day and do your best. Be a team player with a positive attitude. All other duties as required. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Relative poultry industry experience. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45F, 4C). Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift. Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds repeatedly and climb steps. Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and bend. Ability to work in an environment with raw poultry. Lake Foods began operations in Hart County in 2014, just outside the City of Hartwell with 28 employees and a commitment to become a manufacturer of top-quality poultry products. Supported by the partnerships with the City of Hartwell and Hart County, Lake Foods continued to grow and has expanded operations to over 500 employees, producing poultry products such as wings, boneless wings, tenders and breast filets that can be found in retail stores and restaurants across America.
