To all of our supporters and friends the closing of Lake Meriwether Park was not taken lightly. We know this is not a popular decision but we feel as a county it had to be done. Even though it is an open park and area, there are alot of communicable surfaces with in the area. Meriwether County is trying to take measures that are the best for the county and its citizens. This is uncharted waters for everyone and we are all trying to do the best we can. In the emergency declara...tion adopted by the county all non essential travel should cease. That being said Lake Meriwether is non essential. We sincerely understand the incovience of this and it was done solely for the best of our citizen. Instead of complaining I beg all of you to try to support the leaders of our communities while they are doing the best they can to keep us safe. Please keep your family safe, stay home and PRAY for our Country, County and Communities. We will be back stronger than ever. God Bless, Danny Stephens LMAB Member
