How to properly wash and dryer comforter: 1. Always read the label first for proper care and instructions! 2. Choose a washer that is the appropriate size for your comforter. The comforter should fill no more than 3/4 of the compartment space. 3. After you have loaded your comforter, add your preferred laundry detergent and softener. You sure to read packaging labels as some items such as pods and beads should be placed inside the compartment with the comforter. 4. To r...educe redistribution of your comforter filling you may need to choose a gentle cycle. 5. Once the cycle is complete, remove the comforter from the washer and choose your dryer. The comforter should fill no more than 2/3 of the dryer space to allow for adequate airflow. 6. Most comforters require a low heat setting to prevent damage such as puckering, shrinkage, and even burning. Remember that our dryers get 30-50 hotter than the average dryer at home. 7. Add tennis balls to help keep the comforter separated during the dry time for improved airflow. Check every 20 minutes to ensure it is drying evenly. 8. DO NOT over dry! Attempting to dry it faster on a higher heat could risk damaging your comforter AND our machines. If it is not fully dry after 40 minutes it may be better to pull it out and allow it to air dry on a flat surface. See more
