Over the next several weeks we are going to introduce you to our 2021 Board Members. We are excited to see what their breadth of knowledge, talent, time and leadership skills can do for LAMP. Meet Bart Davis | Board Member Partner | Coleman Talley, LLP... I was honored to be given the opportunity to serve on the LAMP Board of Directors. As a lifelong resident of Lowndes County, I have a passion for the well-being of the local community. I was and am beyond impressed with LAMP’s mission to reach out to the hurting and struggling population in the community, with the goal of providing both an immediate safe haven and a permanent redirection. I look forward to my tenure on the Board and our challenge of continuing to give back in effective and evolving ways.

In coordination with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Region 4 Field Office, Legacy Behavioral Health Services and Lowndes Cou...nty, GA will host a series of Mental Health First Aid trainings beginning in April running through July. Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course designed to give members of the public key skills to help someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Training Courses will be: Thursday, April 22 - Class Full Wednesday, May 5 Tuesday, June 8 Wednesday, July 14 Each training will be from 8am-5pm at the Lowndes County Emergency Operations Center located at 250 Douglas Street, Valdosta, Georgia. We are feeling the LOVE. More volunteers from last weekend's Day of Caring and shout out to VSU's NAACP, Alpha Phi Omega & Gamma Sigma Sigma chapters. Our shelter is getting much needed TLC.
