Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Tuesday that taxpayers can delay paying their income taxes on as much as $1 million in taxes owed for up to 90 days. O...rdinarily, individual income taxpayers must submit their 2019 tax returns by April 15. This delay would push the due date for taxes to July 15. This relief is for federal returns. Double-check your state’s tax deadlines to see if there are any delays. Federal payroll tax relief is possibly on the horizon, along with financial aid for hourly employees.......More to come.....

UPDATE: The IRS will extend payment due date for 90 days - interest and penalty free - from the original April 15, 2020 deadline date. However, the deadline for filing has not yet been extended..............MORE TO COME.

Official word on Georgia extended deadline.....Georgia, like feds, moves Tax Day from April 15 to July 15 because of coronavirus.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced Friday that the deadline for filing federal taxes will move from April 15 to July 15 ...-- a move to ease the burden the coronavirus outbreak has put on individuals and the economy. "At @realDonaldTrump’s direction, we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties," he tweeted.
