We start early voting next Monday. If you want to be involved in the election process contact our office this week. Any correspondence from our office will include this logo on the front in red or black ink. Mail you receive without this logo is third party solicitation. We do not ever text message people. We also do not send letters claiming nobody at your address is registered to vote or we still have not received your absentee ballot. These are examples of third party solicitation.
Our absentee ballot drop box is open again for the January 5th runoff election. No absentee by mail ballots have been issued prior to November 18th. Early voting will occur from December 14th - December 31st.

Someone asked about what we use to sanitize earlier and I though it was a great opportunity to update our citizens. We use Protex (by Parker Laboratories) for chairs, door handles, and tables. It is bleach free, lacks a strong smell, and is approved for hospital use on equipment touching expectant mothers. We also use generic lysol wipes on clipboards, stylus and pens. The touch screen ballot marking devices are all wiped down with alcohol based cleaning wipes or wipes with Protex. We strive to provide a clean voting place with as much consideration for those with sensitivity to chemicals as possible. Please notify our pollworkers if you have any concerns or require specific accommodations.
We are offering early voting until 4pm today at the Lanier County Annex next to the old Dairy Queen on Highway 37. This is a great opportunity for anyone who works during weekdays.

We had 238 votes cast today. At this rate, November 3rd will be a crowded day. If you want to avoid waits stop on by our office any weekday until October 30th 8am-5pm. We can issue absentee ballots through the 30th as well. I recommend getting those applications for absentee ballots in asap based on mail time.
