Lanier Hills Kids Ministry

IMPORTANT: We are delaying the start of Wednesday night ministries by one week. Due to leaders in our Wednesday night ministries being out because of Covid, we will not have any activities at the church this evening (Jan 12th). Each of our volunteers play an important part in making our ministries on Wednesday nights run and when leaders are out it make it’s difficult to maintain the high quality we all are used to. Therefore, we plan to get over this hump and start back on Wednesday, January 19th. We know you and your kids are excited to return to Wednesday nights and we can hardly wait to see you again next week!

Happy New Year!! Our Wednesday night ministry kicks off NEXT Wednesday January 12th and we can’t wait!! While we are waiting, let’s talk about summer camp!! Every summer our current 2nd-5th graders head to Travelers Rest, South Carolina to attend the BEST Christian summer camp there isLook Up Lodge! This year, we will be there from May 31st-June 3rd. We had SO MUCH FUN celebrating the birth of Jesus last night at LHCKids! We had bull riding, crafts, axe throwing, karaoke, inflatables, games, pancakes, bungee jumps, cookies. PHEW! Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us! Merry Christmas!!

The Christmas party is NEXT Wednesday the 8th, but we start celebrating THIS WEDNESDAY! Be there at 6pm!

GOD IS ABLE!! He is ALL powerful. There is absolutely NOTHING that He cannot do! What does this have to do with contentment?! We will find out TONIGHT! Bring your Bible! Alsotonight is the night! It’s CHAMPIONSHIP night!! Someone will go home with an amazing BRONZE trophy! We will have a few more qualifier rounds prior to the official championship rounds! Don’t miss this craziness! It all starts at 6pm in the gym with FREE BBQ sandwiches and chips!

Tomorrow night is almost here! It’s BAPTISM night!! Don’t miss the chance to cheer on our friends who have decided to follow Jesus!! Also we have zorb balls, pizza, challenges and a WILD story about the terribleness of greed from 1st Kings!! The Bible is SO not boring and neither is LHCKids!! (No one was hurt in the making of this video. Mostly. Don’t worry. Mr. Dan will NOT be invited to participate. So come on! It’s gonna be a BLAST!!) 6pm for dinner! Check in at 6:15. Pick up at 8pm. (5th gradersit’s your night BOUNCE!)

See you tomorrow night at 6pm for our kid’s worship service! We’ll be in the book of Philippians learning how to be content NO MATTER what! We’ve also gotskits, worship, a nerf war AND meatball subs for dinner! Who will you invite?

Last night was AWESOME at LHCKids! We had dodgeball, we had a crazy skit, we had worship with Mr. Chadthen we had ZONK! ZONK=Bible review & Bible drillswith a dash of CRAZY challenges and points and FUN! The War Eagle team WON! The prize? A jump on the bungee trampoline!! But the BEST part?? Another one of our kids decided to follow Jesus!! *this is pic is from July. We need to get better about remembering to take pics!

Tomorrow night is ZONK NIGHT at LHCKids! Make sure you have a Bible and be ready to have a BLAST with the craziest game of BIBLE trivia you’ve ever experienced! See you all at 6pm!

We don’t always get to see the harvest every day. Keep sowing anyway. Be consistent. Those seeds will grow and your kids are going to turn out better than you ever thought possible...in spite of us imperfect and flawed, yet wonderfully loving parents.

Also...2- Next Saturday (the 17th) is our first play date on the playground at 10:30am. We have Pony Perfect Party joining us with a petting zoo and two ponies the kids can ride. Hey parents! Mark your calendar for a FUN night of outreach with your kids and your church family!! On March 24th, we will PAUSE our regular KidMin activities and go EGG HOUSES!! (But in the nice way.) We will meet in the gym, eat food, pack Easter gift bags full of treats, Easter eggs AND an invite to our Outdoor Easter service AND EGG HUNT on Easter morning...THEN go drop them (and run) on the front doorsteps of our neighborhoods! It’s going to be SO FUN! You’ll bless our community AND make friends here at the church ALL WHILE serving with your family! Who’s in??
