Question: Due to COVID and safety for all we skipped the Lanier Lantern Festival for 2020... we are exploring some fall dates for this event - September 2021... comments? Clearly we would make some changes to spacing, set up and protocols for safety, but would love some feedback.. Ready to attend an outdoor event? What would you want to see in place? What changes would make it more or less desirable to attend? Other comments?

We are looking for a warehouse person. To clean and repair tables & chairs, stocking and cleaning the warehouse, helping with customer pick up and returns. Monday though Friday. Weve collect enough for the smallest of the 3 houses. Can you help so we can 1. Provide a meal for Mothers Day Week for Women in Transitional Housing and 2. Support a local restaurant or caterer with an order for pick up or drop off? 100% off donations spent on a meal to go with RePurses for all ladies in 3 houses!

For the last 5 years we have collected Gently Loved Purses and Toiletries and combined with a note of encouragement given these RePurses to women living in transitional housing for Mothers Day or Christmas. To date we have distributed more than 1200 RePurses. The fundraiser is to additionally provide a meal for these 3 locations. We would like to order a take out/drop off meal from local independent restaurants the week of Mothers' Day as a treat for these locations (For ...My Sisters Place, Angel House of North GA and Home for Hope) The good news is that we have enough purses and limited toiletries remaining from our collections last November and December!! So we can make RePurses and they can be accepted by 3 local women's houses!! We recently applauded Syfan Logistics and Brenau Catering for their efforts to hel...p the Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center provide thousands of meals to hundreds of Meals on Wheels and Senior Life Center clients. These local businesses recognize that even during a pandemic, some needs must still be met. Because of Syfan Logistics’ generosity the donation of a refrigerated trailer CSC can properly store 6,000 meals prepared and packaged by Brenau Catering prior to delivery. To assist further, Lanier Tent Rental has donated a set of stairs to help CSC staff and volunteers access the trailer easily and safely. The city appreciates the combined efforts of Lanier Tent Rental, Syfan Logistics and Brenau Catering. Our staff, our volunteers our clients THANK YOU.
