The Thomasville History Center is pleased to announce the reopening of the Lapham-Patterson House on Friday, June 19 at 1pm. Visitors will be asked to observe standard CDC issued guidelines for keeping themselves and others safe from the spread of COVID-19. In light of the continued need for social distancing measures, the Lapham-Patterson House will limit the number of guests inside the home at a time to 10 per hour.... Tours will be offered Fridays at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm and Saturdays at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm to a maximum of 10 guests per tour. Tours will last about an hour. Reservations are not required in advance but guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to check-in, as there will be new arrival procedures. Admission fees will be $10 per adult (ages 18+) and $3 per student (ages 6-17). The Lapham-Patterson House encourages guests to pay by card or payment app. Scavenger hunts will be available for guests of all ages. This fun activity is a great way for visitors to explore the House and discover its hidden treasures inside and outside. There are still a few finishing touches to add, but consider the halls of the Lapham-Patterson House "decked" for the holiday season. Tours are available on Fridays (1pm, 2pm, and 3pm) and Saturdays (10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm). Please visit our website for more information about what to expect on your next visit: https://www.thomasvillehistory.org/2020operationsupdates/ #safetyfirst Community organizations including Hands and Hearts for Horses and Visit Thomasville, GA have provided and decorated trees. See you soon! #thomasvillega

We've been hard at work adding the finishing touches to the new Lapham-Patterson House booklet and it's finally complete! The new booklets will be available to visitors at the Lapham-Patterson House starting Saturday, August 1. We will be gifting one booklet per group and additional copies may be purchased for $2 each. Special thanks to Claire Thomas Timm for providing the cover photographs! The booklet features updated histories of the families who called the Lapham-Patterson House home as well as architectural information. Copies of the new booklet are also available at the Thomasville History Center and on our website, thomasvillehistory.org/shop. #thomasvillega
The Lapham-Patterson House will be closed this Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. We hope that you have a safe and happy holiday! #ThomasvilleGA
