This letter from the city went out this week to all residents of Laurel Oaks. I spoke with the City Manager for clarity. Basically when entering any of the streets, no parking is allowed on the right hand side.

Halloween Plans: Sunday, 10-31-21 We are all very excited to see lots of trick-or-treaters this year!! As in years past, we ask for all trick or treaters to park at the High School sporting complex area and walk thru the neighborhood. This keeps multiple vehicles off the streets and allows for emergency services to enter, if needed. Also if you're having guest over, please park in your driveway or yard. This keeps vehicles off the street.... Trucks and trailers, ATV, UTV and golf carts are welcome. We generally have 1000+ kids and Laurel Oaks looks forward to another crowded, fun filled evening. Afternoon, The HOA is getting quotes to spruce up the entrances. removing the shrubby and adding some color and possibly changing the face of the brick to a rock face. The signs current color is green, would black look better? Home owners please comment with your thoughts and suggestions.... Thanks, Rusty

Due to the health and safety concerns of our contracted sanitation workforce during these extraordinary times, we are asking that they collect only bagged trash... in the cart and recyclables in the containers. They are not collecting household bulk waste or items outside of your containers. We are also asking that residents thank the garbage man because they are front line essential employees. While their families are safe at home, they are working hard every day to help keep our City clean. A friendly thank you waive or thumbs up while they service your containers, a thank you card or sign, or even thank you sidewalk chalk art around the carts will certainly give them a much needed boost in their day.

Governor Kemp announced his decision that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. We will update SC families ASAP about the ways we will continue to take care of our students. Together, we will get thru this. @SCCSchools @DrRHooker @LAllisonUGA
