We are a little late to the game but.. this week we are celebrating our volunteers as apart of Volunteer Appreciation Week. We would like to introduce you to two of our newest volunteers, Mr. Shannon and Mrs. Laura Sanders! Mr. and Mrs. Sanders are our horse club volunteers, both have a passion for horses and educating children. Mr. Sanders is a teacher at Bonaire Middle School in Houston County and Mrs. Sanders is a teacher at Northwest Laurens Elementary here in Laurens County. We are super thankful that they have come on board with us as volunteers, and we cannot wait to see what they have planned for horse club in the years to come.
We were pumped this afternoon to learn the results of the Toombs County Area Poultry Judging Contest! There were a total of 6 junior team and 33 individual juniors to compete in this contest. Three of our Laurens County 4-H'ers secured the 3rd place spot and we had a top 5 individual on our team. Ms. Morgan is so proud of all of the 4-H'ers that came to poultry judging practices this year. There was so much material to learn! We cannot wait to see what next year holds for this team!
