Approved 2021-2022 School Calendar

Last Friday, Mrs. Horton's and Mrs. Johnson's 4th grade class wrapped up their learning about the solar system by celebrating space day! They watched a live Q&A session with a real astronaut about the upcoming missions to the moon and Mars. Students dressed as the sun, moon, and stars to practice rotation and revolution. They enjoyed making the phases of the moon out of Oreos. Teamwork and communication is crucial in space and in fourth grade- so students also had various scenarios to attempt to dock the space station safely as a team. Students researched about rockets and how they are built, and then launched them as the grand finale to space day!
