For over 40 years Leadership Augusta has been impacting the CSRA. It is a ten-month development program affiliated with the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce where more than 1,500 citizens of all ages, professions and educational backgrounds have had the opportunity each month to meet, learn and train to be informed leaders in the community. Military Day 2021 looked a little bit different this year due to COVID-19 precautions. The zoom class day, held at the Georgia Cyber Center, was chaired by CSM Tom Clark with CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon. Over 70 leaders from our region received virtual updates from the Garrison command team, MWR, the Army Transition Program, and a Cyber Center of Excellence update. A huge thank you to the class day sponsors, ADP and CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon!

Alumni Highlight: Angela Maskey (Class of '99) "Each year Angela wraps hundreds of gifts for family, friends, and strangers who hear about her venture. Her "fee" is paid in the form of non-profit donations to a charity of the customer's choosing... About 250 gifts are for birthdays and other holidays, but the bulk of her work is Christmas gifts. Some of the wrapping is done pro bono for charities holding community gift and toy drives." Thank you for continuing to give back to your community.

The Leadership Augusta Adult Class participated in Government Day yesterday! Speakers for the day included: Mayor Hardie Davis, Richmond County City Administrator- Odie Donald, Georgia Insurance Commissioner- John King, and Georgia Power Lobbyist- Scott Orr. A special thanks to Tax Commissioner, Steven Kendrick, for sponsoring breakfast and kicking off the class day!... Don’t forget..
