We absolutely love it when our clients (or their mamas) show their appreciation with food! Especially when it’s a red velvet cake that is ridiculously delicious!!!

Mediation is a great tool used to get domestic cases settled (in full or partly) prior to a hearing on the matter. Mediation is usually less formal, and therefore less stressful for our clients, than a hearing. Because of COVID-19, it's now more helpful than ever to move cases along in our courtroom-restricted judicial system. Call our office today to speak with Mr. Leopard about your rights/options in your domestic case. (706)724-7511

Here's hoping that we can get our judicial system back on track soon. If you've got a case pending in GA that's been stalled out due to the Emergency Judicial Orders in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, call our office to see what Mr. Leopard can do for you.

The US House of Representatives will vote later this month on whether to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level. The House is the lower level of the US Congress; the Senate is the upper level. If the Act passes the House, it will be sent to the Senate for voting. The MORE Act would remove marijuana from the federal list of controlled substances and expunge some marijuana-related criminal records; though it would still be up to individual states to pass their own regulat...ions on the sale of marijuana. It would also eliminate criminal penalties for anyone who manufactures, distributes or possesses marijuana. Though the House was originally set to vote on the MORE Act Monday, September 21, 2020, according to the House calendar, the vote has been postponed until Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Most of the immediate Augusta area (Richmond, Columbia & Burke Counties) is included in Georgia's 12th Congressional District; however, our close neighbors in Louisville, Wrens, Thomson and Lincolnton reside in the 10th Congressional District. You can find (and contact) your representative at the link below, and share with them your feelings on the upcoming vote for the MORE Act. https://www.house.gov/representatives#state-georgia

Even if Jury Trials are still on hold, that doesn't mean that the judicial system is at a stand-still. Don't let the current pandemic keep your case from moving forward. The local courts are up and running (even if on a restricted basis), and our judges and prosecutors have been more than willing to work with defense attorneys to move cases along where possible. Call us today to see what we can do for you or your loved one. (706)724-7511

Did you know that in Augusta-Richmond County it is now Ordered that face coverings/masks shall be required in public places? Did you know you could be ticketed and fined if seen without a facial covering/mask in a public place? Here's a copy of the Mayor's Executive Order currently in effect in our community:

To help keep everyone safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, we're offering telephone consultations and appointments to our clients whose needs may not require an in-person meeting. We're also staggering our appointment times in an effort to limit the number of clients in our office at any given time, and have increased and intensified our cleaning practices to reduce the risk of exposure for our clients and our staff. Please call us today (706-724-7511) to schedule a time to speak with Mr. Leopard regarding your case.
