Following its temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Savannah African Art Museum (SAAM) plans to reopen with limited hours for in-person tours on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Tours will be offered Wednesday through Saturday from 1-5 p.m., with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m., at the museum, 201 E 37th Street. For people who prefer to enjoy tours from the comfort of their home, daily virtual tours will continue at 12 p.m. (noon) Monday through Friday on the museum’s Facebook, and workshops will continue online until further notice.
