The day began with the distribution of over 2500 condoms at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Game day. We lost the game to Ivory Coast but who cares; the city was in a celebratory mood, and we all felt accomplished. What an experience worth reliving. The following day was dedicated to the release of supplies from the Freeport, sorting them out at the Ministry of health late into the night, and finally, on day 14, Supplies were delivered to some facilities. By Miday, we were ...homeward bound, headed back to the Roberts international Airport. With your support, we can accomplish even bigger task on our next mission trip in 2016. Please lend your support for a worthy cause. Thanks to our generous sponsors who followed our progress and even reached out to us in Liberia. Your show of support will be forever itched in our minds and in the history of LNA. You have no idea how many lives you impacted. See more

Workshop Days 1 and 2 The topics for the worshop were as follows; Infection Control, Personal Protective Equipments, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Hypertension and Diabetes. Workshops were conducted for 2 days with participants hailing from various counties and several facilities around the country. The participants will in turn roll out the knowledge to their colleagues upon return. The LNA-Liberia Team recruited, transported and provided meals along other logistics to hel...p facilitate the workshops. Kudos to this great team of Sister Nurses. Presenters were: Tony Nimely (Infection control; PPEs, STD), Beatrice Gildersleeve (Diabetes), and Amelia Togba-Addy (STD, Hypertension, and Hand Hygiene). Breakfast was served, followed by presentations, discussions, break and interview by a local new paper. A radio interview followed. The participants were really engaged, discussion was thought provoking and there was not a sleepy eye in the building. Everyone walked away gratified. What a rewarding experience.

Day one in Monrovia. Pre-work Day one in Monrovia was Thanksgiving day (11-3-2015), so government and business entities were closed. The Liberian Nurses Association in Liberia paid a courtesy and pre-work visit to the USA team. The visit was climaxed by discussion and plan for the project; such as the workshop, community activities, and distribution of supplies. Other ground logistics were discussed, and we were ready to take the bull by the horn. Great collaboration.
