Lighting the Way Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Looking for toys for 6-18 months old. Here are a few suggestions: -wooden/chunky puzzles -musical instruments -shape sorters -any manipulative toy (wooden activity cubes, centers)... -bath toys (squeeze toys like rubber duckies, foam letters) -chunky trucks/cars -musical toys that make music when pushing buttons, makes animal sounds or letter sounds -sit to stand walkers -sit and push toys -books (card boards, fabric), peek-a-book books -see and say -blocks (of all sizes) -crayons (jumbo crayons) Any toy that allows your child to manipulate it, explore the environment and MOVE will be good for a child this age. Remember- children will also place toys in their mouth at this age which is also important. This oral exploration can work with their feeding and oral motor/sensory development. See more

I know there are many families out there with "picky/problem" eaters. There is something that can be done to help and I'm SO happy that I have the opportunity to work with this teen. He's making amazing progress and I am SO proud of him!
