Lights of Joy is complete including the Tunnel of Joy. We are expecting about 2,000 to walk around the Inside Circle tonight. Thank you Marietta Daily Journal for putting us on the front page. Attached is the video of The Tunnel of Joy.

Lights of Joy 24.11.2020

Lights of Joy is up and running. The first night it was raining and the second night snowing. Mother Nature has not been very kind to us this year. Everything looks terrific. I hope to have the Tunnel of Joy finished on Saturday. Some photos below.

Lights of Joy 09.11.2020

Tonight is the official first night for Lights of Joy. Of course it had to be raining. We have overcome Hurricane Zeta which knocked down four trees and tons of limbs and took over 150 hours of cleanup. We have had and are still having some technology issues and even some language issues but we are up and running and about 99% complete. We are the largest residential Christmas light display in Georgia. We have taken the forest and natural landscape and converted it into ...a light display. This year the display features 226 trees with lights, over 750,000 lights, the new Tunnel of Joy (not finished), a new RGB mega tree at the church and lots of other surprises. We are located at 1510 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, Ga. only 1 mile off of I75. We are on from 6-11pm every night through Sunday, January 3rd. Rain or clear, cold or hot, we are open. Be sure to park at Influencers Church and don’t miss the walk around the inside circle. There is no admission fee.

Lights of Joy will debut next Sunday, November 29th. The 2020 edition will feature 226 trees, the new Tunnel of Joy, two new Mega Electronic trees plus the three from last year, well over 750,000 lights, lots of new lanterns an enjoyable experience for all who visit. We encourage everyone to walk around the inside circle as many features cannot be seen from the street. There is NO admission fee and everyone is welcome. We encourage you to share our post with your friends.

We just logged hour #750 on this year’s production of Lights of Joy. Spent the weekend, about 24 hours on a boom lift with 2 other guys working on our 4 tallest trees. They now look awesome. These tiny photos do not do them justice. Tell your friends about us. Last year we had over 21,000 people park and walk around our inside circle. This year will feature new things that you cannot see on a drive by. It will be much better than when we were on ABC last year.

Lights of Joy 2020 is under construction with over 350 hours so far. Check out the beginnings of the Tunnel of Joy which will be one of the most photographed spots in metro Atlanta in December. Looks like we will have 232 trees this year not counting the 59 holly bush Christmas trees in front.

There are advantages and disadvantages of having a large property with lots of azaleas and camellias and a few other assorted items. You get a beautiful landscape in the spring and it gives you a base for Christmas Lights, but you have to trim everything and fertilize and clean up tons of debris after storms like last weekend. 120 hours work to trim the plants, 600 pounds of fertilizer, 5 hours to put out the fertilizer, and hours pulling weeds and poison ivy. Spring flowers were beautiful and Lights of Joy will be better than ever.

Lights of Joy in the Spring. The middle section of the video has some early blooming varieties which are now past their prime but Mother Nature helps with being held captive with the Corona virus.

Lights of Joy 2019 is finally finished. With it raining 4 days a week since early January it took until today to get everything down. We look forward to lots of changes in 2020. We get to relax until August.

Lights of Joy is finished for 2019. We had just over 21,000 people walk around our inside circle and see our lights. Perhaps five times as many just drove by and saw half the lights. We raised just over $4,600 for Influencers Church. We raised slightly above that amount for Lights of Joy 2020. ... If you donated to either fund, we greatly appreciate your donations. We used the Lights of Joy money and have already bought 58,000 lights for next year. We know that next year will be different. The City and county have informed me that Ben King Road will be widened and a 10 foot bike path will be added to our side of the street. This may take away much of our display space. We will see. We have been told that 10-12 of our tallest holly bushes, (Christmas trees) will be cut down along with 9 or so other trees. We will have to make some changes. We will make the best of it and put together another amazing light display. What is so amazing about doing this. How about 21,000 smiling and happy people. It is our mission to bring a little Joy to everyone. We did not get a single complaint about the display except a few people wanted us to leave it on into January. I hope our new visitors will make their visit a part of their Christmas tradition. I will keep you posted on what we are doing in 2020. Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2020. See more

I just tallied up the attendance to Lights of Joy for 2019. We had 21,000 people that parked and walked around the inside circle. I have no idea how many drove by and saw half the display, perhaps 5 times as many. Thank you to everyone who visited. We hope you enjoyed it. 2020 will be very different and hopefully better. We know that Cobb County and the City of Kennesaw are going to widen the street and add a 10 foot wide bike path in our front yard. We will adjust and... change things around and perhaps open up the west side of our property as they plan to cut down our 15+ foot tall holly bushes on that side. Happy New Year
