Took our new chicks to an Easter event at Trinity Presbyterian this morning. The chicks did very well with being handled by so many excited kids.

Came home to this...11 hatched chicks inside the incubator and another coming out of the shell

This is an image that my nightmares are made out of. I had to feed the chickens before the sun came up this morning and they were all still up in the rafters. Walking under 20+ chickens is not for the faint of heart. The entire time I kept praying that they wouldn't swoop down and dive at me, talons reaching out to attack....that no one would pop out an egg that would land on my head....or poop on me! I do not like the coop...in the dark...all alone...with the birds
