Homestead Exemption! You must own and occupy your home as the primary residence as of January 1, 2021 in order to file for your homestead exemption for the 2021 property taxes. Even if you have filed in the past, please verify that yours is still on file! We refinanced our home last year, which required a new recording of a deed, this caused our homestead to end last year and we had to reapply, even though it should not have impacted it! ...
