Lou Ann's

Thank you all for your continued support and patronage. It has become necessary to close the top entrance to the drive-thru coming into the parking lot from Telfair Street. We ask that everyone use the bottom entrance and circle the building, or one of the two Smith Street entrances. Thank you so much for understanding that we just want to be fair to every person waiting in line to order. We are putting saw horses up to block the lower driveway. Please watch for them to block the driveway until we can open our dining room again. Thank you! Please share and tell all your family and friends.

It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our lifelong friend and longtime co-worker. Most of the Lou Ann’s ladies grew up with Shelia Knight White and loved her dearly. Shelia began working for Lou Ann Fordham at the old Burger Chef as a teen in high school. She met her husband and the father of her children while working there, and she continued working for Lou Ann when the restaurant changed to JoJo’s and then Lou Ann’s until health problems caused her to have to r...etire. Lou Ann loved Shelia like family and always said she had never met a harder working person. We send out heart-felt prayers and love to her children and grandchildren. Shelia was truly one of the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet. The Lou Ann’s staff offers our sincerest sympathy to our co-worker Cynthia Ashley on the passing of her Grandfather. Cynt, we love you and send prayers for you and your family.

Happy birthday to Mr. Ashley from the Lou Ann’s crew. His Granddaughter, Cynthia, was the first person Lou Ann Fordham hired when she began hiring people for the old JoJo’s Biscuits & Burgers, since 1984. Cynthia had small children and Lou Ann always said she was concerned when she hired her because she thought she would be out of work a lot, as Moms with small children often are. She voiced that concern to Cynthia during her interview, and was told by Cynthia she would be a...t work every time she possibly could. Cynthia raised her children and has rarely ever missed a day of work. She is still our grill cook, Her spot, after all these years. I do not know Mr. Ashley, but I do know he has a wonderful Granddaughter that we all love. If only there were more people as loyal, dedicated, and as good at keeping their word and working as Cynthia, the world would be a better place. Lou Ann’s will be closed Dec. 25th and 26th in observance of Christmas. We will also be closed January 1 and 2 so the employees can have two days with their families in the New Year. We hope you all have safe and happy holidays.
